In the challenging Math courses offered, stu¬ dents learn to understand and solve various types of mathematical problems. 14

The Arts ART—Mr. Deutsche r, Mr, Mclka, Mr Berry. By offering a large number of courses, the Art Department helps students to express themselves. Through art, stu¬ dents have the opportunity to use a variety of media and often discover hidden artistic ability. The teachers of the Music Depart¬ ment help to develop the musical talent of gifted students and present it in a variety of ways. The enjoyable per¬ formances are a tribute to the efforts and ability of both students and teachers. The Drama Department, under the direction of Mr. Mills, has provided the student body of East High with several enjoyable assemblies and plays. DRAMA—Mf, Mills.
