Knowledge of our own and foreign cultures is necessary to understand the relationship between all the world’s peo- ples. The members of the social studies faculty promote interests in international cooperation through the studies of history, government, and social sciences. “Vive la France!” The foreign language teachers provide instruction for mastering Latin, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian dialects. In addition, they also acquaint students with the cultural backgrounds of the foreign country, which is important to a better understanding of the people themselves.
