President Royce, Secretary Keating, Vice-President Fullenweider, Treasurer Blake, Social Chairman Leto. 0 you 2l'i'lel'YlL8l ,IXUAQIQ . . . The first day of high school when we trembled at the thought of not making good at the annex, our search for new classrooms, and the new faces, the strange teachers, and the homevvorkferemember? Life was quite a whirl at first, but we adjusted ourselves without too much difficulty and settled down with determination to make a name for ourselves in East High School. Then, remember how we looked forward to becoming a part of the main building, and how we timidly dreaded leaving our familiarity with the annex to enter the portals of a strange building? We felt very insignificant at first, but after we had become accustomed to our new surroundings, we began to like the place a little. The choosing of our advisors and the election of class officers really made us a part of this new life. As juniors, we upperclassmen became more active in extracurricular affairs. We had parties and dances, and plans were under way even then for our senior year. Long before June of that year we were able to exhibit proudly our class rings and pins. When we suddenly discovered that we were already seniors, we didn't feel so different. Yet we began to realize how short our stay at East High had seemed and how rapidly the remaining months would pass. Every moment of pleasure was precious, and we treasured the memories of the dances and the plays and the fun. Graduation was like a dream. It was almost impossible to believe that the gates of our little world were closing behind us, pushing us into a greater world beyond. We can't express what these four wonderful years have meant to us, but we shall forever hold the tender memories of those carefree days locked tightly in our hearts. 14
