WHICH WE ERVE Paul W. Peterson, SpCWJ 3fc, whose personal charm and untiring efforts as our advisor during the two years preceding his entry into the Navy, have made him an enduring friend of the Class of 1944. The Seniors have been deeply moved by the absence of many of their classmates now in the Armed Forces. These boys have contributed much to the life of East High School Now they are prepared to give their all for a greater cause. We bade farewell not sorrow fully, only regretfully. Others, who have not yet laid down their books and pencils, will follow soon We are justly proud of every one. ADVI OR We, the Class 0f19-14, thank Mr. Welch for his co-operation and boundless en- thusiasm Which has spurred us on through the final lap of the East High School re- lay. His calm eHiciency has guided us on our road of problems, and his personal interest in us has harmonized the various dif'liculties that have arisen during the year. His rough good humor was never lacking, and at times he could not afford to be without it. We cannot adequately express our appreciation for the guidance and co-operation of Mr. Welch, but we Want him to know that we shall never lose the self-assurance he has given us as one of our class advisors. EDWARD J WELCH
