and freshmen! We had completely forgotten how green we had feltAa few years before. We knew a lot, too. At least we thought we did. Then suddenly we were seniors who found ourselves caught up in a mad whirl of activity. Besides accepting many responsibilities inside school and out, we began to enjoy life and to have more good times, much to the detriment of our school work. Wiar work, also, made demands on our time, and the things we did had to be measured by their usefulness to us in relation to the war effort. Now June, 1943, is in the offing. Humbly we realize that one door of our lives is closing and another is opening. A new life awaits us. VVith high hope and good faith we go forth with knowledge to use, a vision to guide us, and a memory of a brief but happy sojourn at East High School.
