MR. WILLIAM C. WOLGAST Principal The Principal's Message . . . To the Class of June, 1943, I speak my admiration and say well done. To a senior class in the midst of a great war emergency has been offered not only exhilaratiou and challenge but also difficulties and confusion. Probably no class that has ever left East High has been faced with so much uncertainty concerning future plans. A steady grip, a clear look ahead, and a firm determination to tread your Way through the years immediately ahead are the guides I offer you on your chart upon leaving East High. The happenings of the day that seem to interfere with well-laid plans of years ago, I recom- mend that you accept as an adventure and an experience that will enrich rather than frustrate your previous plans. Play your part after you leave East High as well as you have while here and your Alma Mater will be proud of you. My best Wishes to each and every one of you. May our friendship continue through the coming years. 9
