Although relatively few of us have come in contact with her as a teacher, we have found her, when occasion demand- ed, a sympathetic listener and advisor. Miss Haugh has worked with us and for us in every project we have undertakeng and part of the enthusiasm with which we have done things has been due to the vivaeity with which she has supported us. Some of the fondest mem- ories that we shall have of our years in East High School will be those sur- rounding our association with lNIiss Haugh.

THE CLASS of 1943 is par- ticularly fortunate in hav- ing Nlr. Paul J. Smith as one of its advisors. Admired and respected by all his pupils and associates, Mr. Smithis interest in our class has not waned during the press of his wartime activi- ties as head of the Mathe- matics Department. His policy has been to allow the class officers to assume much responsibility for themselves, lout his sound advice has always been forthcoming when problems arose. Mr. Smith's years of sympathetic and able ad- visorship will long be re- membered by all students of East High School, but they will be recalled es- pecially by the members of our class.
