When the Class of 1941 chose Miss O,Neil and Mr. McKie as advisers, they made a sagacious choice, for no two i' people are more fitted for directing the Ga activities of a class. QP Q Those of us who have had Miss i , O,Neil as an English teacher know her 5 as a cultured, sympathetic person, and !9 ,' i these characteristics have been carried .- over into her guidance of our class. Her training as a librarian has helped Miss O'Neil to understand human nature, and while advising our class, evidences of her compatibility have been ever present. Her poise and charm have added much to the success of all our social undertakings. Whether we are in or out of trouble, Miss O'Neil has always been ready to help us, thereby making the memories of our senior year in East High pleasant. We had our Hrst associations with Mr. McKie at the Annex, and from that time we have liked him for his gentle humor and informality. He has the ability to incur respect in such a friendly way that he has fondly been nicknamed Butch, Words cannot fully describe the element that our class has developed toward this down-to-earth fellow. He has always been at hand when we needed him, the memory of his part in the organization of our class will remain long after we have left East High School. We, the Class of 1941, hoping to repay in part the debt of gratitude which we owe to our faithful advisers, dedicate this, the 1941 Orient to MISS ANNETTE M. O'NEIL AND MR. DONALD J. McKlE .S
