VVe, the crew of 1939, a conglomeration of inexperienced youth, are young, im- practical, radical, and sometimes even revolutionary, if We are to be judged by our ideas and inspirations. We have aired much this spirit in our class meetings in the shipys auditorium. We have planned activities and expressed desires which could hardly come true on dream ships, much less on our sturdy craft. The guides for our crew, Mr. Paul Reichel and Miss Lillian Lorscheider, have counteracted our unbridled attempts with logical and practicable suggestions, gained only through their vast experience on the sea of life. Thanks to them, most of our activities have sounded notes of sound judgment and have succeeded under their watchful eye.
