H'ERUER ADVISERS FOR JUNE CLASS We wish to express our gratitude to Mrs. Yerger and Mr. Woodams for so admirably executing the difiicult tasks that are included in the position of adviser. We had new ideas about how our class aflairs should be managedg they patiently pointed out the impracticabilities of the plans. They saved us from the futile and inevitable mistakes which naturally follow a senior Class's headstrong actionseeemistakes which hasten the deluded senior's downfall. For all their untiring, kind, wise, and patient efforts we thank them. l l i F11 ztlnful I 111110 ffeflfb Ronlarvr S. GURNEY JEAN 11 REX .limzlllurd Bearer Dlmgfftcr of rife Flllg 27

JUNE CLASS OFFICERS l l Vice-Prefident Ma.ro1z, Prefidefzt Bradrtreet, Social Clnzirmun Fowler, Treamrer Olcdlllldf, Serrelafz' Zimmer. CLASS HISTORY In September, 1934, the Board of Education invited a group of Freshmen to run around in a new East High Annex, which had a swimming pool in the yard. We, of June 38, were these honored students who hrst went through the new Annex. Because the freshman Class was the only one at the annex, it was not until we came to the main building that we realized fully the insignificant position of underclassmen and spent our time staring at those wonderful, distant people called seniors. A great deal of our time and energy was spent in devising daring and original methods of evading homework' and skipping classes. All our plans were apprehended, and the teachers' attitudes indicated that it was all old stuff to them. As seniors we acquired officers and advisers. As most all good East High senior classes have, we invested the contents of our treasury in an old-clothes dance in the barn. Ours, however, was unique in that all those present who were not members of the class were actually politely requested to leave-and almost promptly did. At the time of the Senior Banquet there was great rejoicing by all, caused by the festive spirit as well as the thought of our coming departure. However, during the graduation ceremony, we grew fonder and fonderein memoryeof the scene of our crimes, our Alma Mater. Soon after we became full-fledged gradu- ates, revolutionary ideas for completely changing East High came to us. Dreamily we reflected on what we should do if we were still there, but our new and idealistic plans were diverted in rapid succession to other fields. And East High remains just a memory. 28
