- e OQRENW- - 1, ex EDITH STONE ARNOLD B. SWIFT Class A dziisers Over the course of their four years at East High the Class ofjanuary '19 has travelled a pleasant and easy path, skillfully piloted by experienced and capable advisers. Fate designated Arnold B. Swift the masculine helmsman of the class, from their entrance into the school until their departure, in which position he has been a friendly and helpful companion, ready to encourage, reprimand or suggest. For two and one- half years Katharine A. Barber, girls' adviser, expended her efforts in behalf of the girls of the class in such a way that she won their affection completely and succeeded in producing a sociable and co-operative atmosphere. One ofthe Fate sisters decided to break the thread of this regular life, and thus was Miss Barber transferred to the advisership of the following class. Edith Stone entered upon her duties as succeeding adviser with zeal and enthusiasm which were indisr pensable qualities in the handling of individuals and affairs of the class. To these advisers we owe our appreciation for having guided us faithfully and well through high school, resulting in the enjoyable and profitable outcome of each social and business enterprise. - Q57 E 14
