c £) 7Ae QRIENTGV? s y George J. Moyer Mrs. J. G. Eppinger G. W. Cleland Faculty Advisors When Grant W. Cleland and Mrs. J. Guinan Eppinger were appointed advisors for the Class of January, 19x7, the selection was considered by the entire class to be a most fortunate and happy one. Both were very friendly and des irous of promoting class activities in the most advantageous manner possible; both considered every member of the class a friend. The loss of Mr. Cleland through a most unfortunate accident in 1915 was partially nullified with the appointment of George J. Moyer to be his successor. Mr. Moyer had the unusual advantage of having known most of the boys since their entrance into East High School through study hall contact. This acquaintance with the boys Mr. Moyer has fostered tenderly throughout his advisorship and is now the friend of all those who were privileged in having met him. Girl class advisors in East High School have been consistently good, and so it must be an exceptionally good advisor who can stand out. Mrs. Eppinger has been just such a rare counsellor. Always at the service of the class, Mrs. Eppinger has been tire¬ less in her interest and activity. In the short time that Mr. Cleland was with the class as advisor he succeeded in fixing himself firmly with the boys both through his friendly manner and gracious service. It was with great joy indeed that the class learned of Mr. Cleland’s return to teaching after his accident. i j I I j I I $ 13
