Eleven years ago the doors of East High were first opened. Since that day our school has grown and developed as one of the outstanding schools of Memphis. Its characteristics of cooperation, dependability, friendliness and leader- ship are typical of the fine school it is. As each student enters East High, he is shown these qualities through our students and faculty. As he continues his education here the Mustang ideals become his own. After many years, as he goes on to his own life, he carries with him these qualities and standards which have been instilled in him with his fine education. Every student becomes a HOOFPRINT of this Mustang spirit.
