Forward holds the thought of the realization of dreams and ideals cherished from kindergarten to the twelfth grade. In its short eight years East has fulfilled the idea FORWARD, EAST HIGH This movement, known as progress, is only accomplished by the students of a school. Their ingenuity, leadership, and character, not the outward appearance of beauty in building or grounds, have kept East moving forward. Therefore, the theme for your 1956 MUSTANG is not centered on the physical attractions of the school but on its heart and pulse . . . you, the students. Student life, individual or group is featured in every phase of your yearbook. Every person casts a shadow. As long as there is prog- ress at East High, the shadows of its students will con- tinue to lean forward.
