Mr. Robert E. Tucker Four years ago Mr Tucker left Ellet, where he was principal and came to East. He has been with the Akron Public Schools for thirty years. He counseled and taught mathematics at West, was assistant principal at Buchtel and principal at Ellet. Mr. Tucker attended Ohio State University and the University of Akron. He re- ceived his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Education Degrees. Mr. Tucker's favorite phrase is hit the books . He guides our work and conduct from day to day. Above all, he is our friend. Mr. Michael M. Krino Mr. Krino has had thirty-three years of experience at East as assistant principal. One of his main projects is supervising the testing programs and working for col- lege scholarships for eligible seniors. Mr. Krino attended the University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science in Education and his Master of Science in Education. Mrs. Mary E. Law Mrs. Law attended the University of Akron where she received the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. She has been devoted to East since 1944. In addi- tion, Mrs. Law sponsors the Future Teachers Association. Mr. Russell H. Martin Mr. Martin attended Ohio University and Columbia where he received a Bache- lors, degree in Science and Education, and a Master of Arts degree. For many years he has worked at East High as the boys' Guidance Counselor. In addition, he is a member of the faculty of the University of Akron. -4-

Mrs. Ruth Alliger teaches Chemistry and sponsor Sci- ence Club. She attended To- ledo University and State University of Iowa and re- ceived her B.S. and M.S. de- gree. Mrs. Lillian Artola teaches Bookkeeping and Typing. She attended Kent State and Ohio State University and re- ceived her B.S. and M.A. de- grees. Mr. Paul Becker teaches So- ciology and Economic Geo- graphy, is Photographer at our football games and also Time Keeper of Basketball games. He attended Akron University and received his B.S. and M.S. degrees. Mr. Herbert Bracken teaches Senior Problems and sponsors Speakers Bureau. He attend- ed Akron University and re- ceived his B.S. and M.S. de- grees. Mr. Robert Brigeman teaches Biology. He attended Akron and Kent State University and received his B.S. and M.E. degrees. Mrs. Anita Cahill teaches English and co-sponsors Na- tional Honor Society. She at- tended De Pauw, Ohio State and Akron University and re- ceived her B.A. and M.A. de- grees. Mr. Andrew Calderone teach- es Economics, Mechanical Drawing and is the head bas- ketball coach. He attended Kent State University and received his B.S. and M.A. degrees.
