The staff of the 1964 Minaret has attempted to create the most accurate and complete yearbook our school has ever known. We realize, of course, that the fond memories of our high school years can never be truly recorded by mere pictures, but we hope that we have met the expectations of the entire student body. DEDICATIC We, the class of 1964, dedicate this year's Minaret to Mrs. Helen Coup. Mrs. Coup has devotedly served East High since 1943 teaching gym, biology, and girl's health. Before coming to East she was a member of the faculty of Garfield, Lane, and Hotchkiss Schools. Not only has she been a guide to the girls in the health classes, but to the entire school through her sponsorship of Student Council, Future Nurses, and Clinic Assistants. The effort and time she put forth has helped greatly to improve- and further our school. She received her B.E. and M.A. degrees at the University of Akron. Mrs. Coup always found time to give extra advice and encouragement to all of us. Truly, she has helped to make our years at East more pleasant. Mrs. Coup, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -2- Ezmcz X Ce DS?- V .- FAC U LTY Mr. Robert E. Tucker Four years ago Mr Tucker left Ellet, where he was principal and came to East.
