Andy Flivas, Student Body President, reveals a hidden talent as he sings Basketball Jones' at the winter sports assembly. l 1 i Atter the publication assembly, Officer Ralph Griffith shows his fine ability to shoot pool. Principal dies in 7974 Enlightening the first of the year was the '74 Homecoming with Shangri-La as the theme. The carnival was also a big event where clubs made money and teachers were jailed. The fall and spring plays, If a Man Answers and Peter Pan , were both very successful. Mr. R. E. McCulIar retired right before the Christmas recess in 1973. Just weeks after his retirement, Mr. McCuIlar died of a heart attack, January 11, 1974. During the first of March the Varsity Basketball team entered the State play-off with Alhambra and the game extended into four over- times. Finally Alhambra took it 68- 66.
