At East High School there are many good teachers who are concerned about the students and care extensively. One teacher in particular who meets these qualifications is Ms. Scott. Ms. Scott is an outstanding English teacher, dedicated yearbook advisor, and sincere friend. She helps students with academic and personal problems. Ms. Scott's attitude towards teaching and her ability to work with the students at East High makes her a well liked individual. Last year she was voted the most popular new teacher and this year she was voted Mrs. Santa Claus because she is considerate, charming, caring and was full of Christmas spirit. It is for these reasons that the East High School graduating class of 1987 takes great pride in dedicating this yearbook to Ms. Belinda Scott. Ms. Scott attended Case Western Reserve University and received a B.A. in English and sociology. She then attended Cleveland State University and earned teaching certifications in English and reading. She is currently working on a Master's Degree in secondary administration at Cleveland State University. Ms. Scott offers these words to the seniors: No goal is beyond your reach if you try. As you go through life there are going to be ups and downs, good times and bad. Take what you've learned here at East High and use it to minimize the bad and maximize the good. Remember, nothing beats a failure, but a TRY. Good luck!

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL I sincerely hope that each and every one of you will back later in your life and know that East High School has been a positive influence upon you. Only time will tell whether we have been successful or not. But as you enter into various phases of your life, whether it be college, job, or family, I feel confident you will have fond memories of East High School.
