PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE TO SENIORS I am very thrilled and happy for each member of the East High School June Class of 1985. It has been a joy to watch you develop since you came to East High School in the tenth grade. Some of you have had detours which have caused you to go over rough roads in order to meet your goals. It is my sincere and fondest hope that when you pick up this yearbook in future years, you will remember that East High School tried to instill within you the sincere realization that you could succeed in the world in any area that you so chose. I hope that when you come back to visit us, you will come back as successful men and women in our American society. I hope that you will never forget us. for we will never forget you. The East High School graduating class of 1985 takes pleasure in sharing their memories in the Exodus with an outstanding person We dedicate this book to Mrs. Mary Grinage. Mrs. Grinage attended Kentucky State College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and continued her educational training at Cleveland State University to receive a Masters degree in Education. She also attended Case Western University. Most of her life has been spent in Cleveland. Ohio where she has taught students for thirty years in the Cleveland Public School System Fifteen of those years have been at East High School. She was first influenced by her fifth grade teacher. Her high school English teacher, with whom she still communicates today, is her mentor. Mrs. Grmage is committed and involved here at East High School. She is advisor of the National Honor Society and the Radio Club. She is true to the Blue and Gold which she wears with pride each Friday. She has time for hobbies of crocheting and swimming. She would like to learn to operate computers. Her family includes two sons, one grandson, and a sister. Her twin sister and a brother are both deceased. Asked if she has a message or advice to East High School Students, she replied. Try to educate yourself and specialize in one area. They should participate in life and learn to live.
