ADMINISTRATION I feel that the association of this class to the school over the last three years has been a particularly pleasant one. It is not easy to break that asso- ciation, but “time marches on.” My sincere personal regards and af- fection go with each of you. The whole faculty, as well as I, wishes you good luck and God-speed. Emmet E. Smeltz Principal Congratulations are due you for having placed your class high on the list of fine classes graduated from East High School. Congratulations are due you for having within your own group enough potentiality and idealism to be a vita! part of this One World — if you will it. Grace A. Martin Assistant Principal As you scatter through this community and other sections of our country, it is my hope that pleasant memories of East will make you conscious of a desire to live useful lives. You are for- tunate in having many very fine people in your class. For this reason, I am confident that we will continue to feel proud of you as you move along to the future work and other activities you will experience. J. J. A winning smile and a pleasing personality go together to make up one of the most popular boys in the senior class. Truly, Ken Lehmann retains his high standards in the memories of both his teacher? and his fellow stu- dents. Ken ran for top office in the Student Council twice and for presi- dent of his class in the 12B. Besides holding down several extra-curricular activities, Kenny also has made a memorable scholastic record during his three years at East High, “Hatchy This fun-loving, versatile class of- ficer is a participant in many extra- curricular activities at East. In the senior revue she was one of a group of girls who sang “Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief, and in the 12A mixer she sang “I’m Only a Square in a So- cial Circle. Undoubtedly Alice is one of the leading girls of the senior class. “Hatchy is no relative of Sergeant-at-Arms Jack, though many have thought she was. Donald Petrick has proved once more to hi? classmates, as in semes- ters before, that any job he under- takes is a job well done. Don has really established quite a record scholastically while here at East, ranking very high in his class.
