Grease Paint, Footlights, First Nighters . . Wrecked fenders, jitterbugging in stocking feet, allergies, broken records, and what have you, were all ingredients of the senior play Cross My Heart, presented by the Ianuary Class of 1941. The three-act comedy, directed by A. I. Whitaker, centered around the adolescent shyness of an Eleanor Ross and a Bob Adams. The accidental meeting of the two brought about complications, which their friends tried to simplify, but really only helped to make worse. All this proved the play an A-l comedy and continually swept the audience with gales of laughter until the final curtain. Eleanor Ross and Bob Adams were ably portrayed by Antoinette Arcaro and Thomas Corroto. Ioseph Groh enacted the role of shy Charlie Westover, lover of Pauline Adams, played by Lucille Bernard. Iitterbugging Carl Young and Henrietta Duval were excellently played by Eddie Rashid and Mildred Watkins. Angeline Amodio as Bess Adams, Ray Dota as Dave Adams, Edith Maffei as Patsy Iones, Marian Everett as the gossiping Lola Pomeroy, Dolores Henry as Myrtle Ross, Eddie Lickner as Iim Ross, and Nick Leonelli as Ierome Ross, contributed greatly to the success of the play. if Page Twelve lik-
