Moore, East's principal. During the past eleven years, Mr. Moore's smile, pat on the shoulder, and wave of the hand have greeted thousands of Aces. Mr. Moore spends much of his time in the halls and cafeteria giving worthy advice to students with problems or passing the day with his many friends. He says, HI really have a personal interest in the kids individually. Their welfare is most important. He is always in the bleachers at athletic events and seldom misses a dramatics presen- tation, music program, or debate tournament. Not only is he involved in every school activity, but Mr. Moore belongs to the Wichita Gun Club, the College Hill Methodist Church, the Downtown Lion's Club of which he is past president, and various educational organiza- tions. His leisure time is spent refinishing antique furniture and hunting, his two favorite hobbies. Although Mr. Moore has enjoyed partici- pating in these activities, his greatest pleasure is to be principal of East. I'LL TEACH those kids not to put gum in the water fountains! kjokes Mr. Moore as he examines the gun which has won him so many trophies.
