Han- dling one of the largest departmental enrollments, the 19 English in- structors strive to teach students how to use their language effectively and how to read with understanding. Also offering speech, dramatics, and debate, the English department, headed by Miss Elfrieda Shellen- berger, extends 15 different courses to the 2, 581 enrolled students.
