We select our student body Officers, our Student Council and Representative Assembly members. Our system of gov- ernment is modeled after that of the national government in that each student is a qualified voter, that there two bodies co-operating-the Student Council, repre- senting clubs and classes, and the Representative Assembly, representing each re- porting room-and these groups acting together take suggestions from the studen body. These boys attended the State which was held at North High school last summer. The purpose of Boys' State is to teach the func- tions and management of good city, county, state, and federal govern- ment. On March 17 the important city and county offices of Wichita were taken over by the members of the Sedgwick County Statesmenis Club, of which the East High club is a part.
