Lettermen's Uluh The Lettermens Club is composed of boys who have earned athletic letters. The purpose of the club is to correlate scholarships and athletics, to promote good sportsmanship and to help promote East's highest ideals . . . Activities this year included three banquets at the ends of the three sports seasons, at which the new lettermen received their letters. The Club sponsored a dance which was open to the whole school and sold season and game tickets for football and basketball games. THE LETTERMEN'S WINTER DINNER GOING FULL SWING

Tennis UPPER PICTURE Mayo's Netmen are hin- dered this year with only two returning lettermen- Talbott and Worthington. They should be able, how- ever, to pull through the season and fare Well. Last year the team took third in the Ark Valley doubles. BasehaH LOWER PICTURE The prospect this year is none too bright with only five returning lettermen. But with men like Steen, Brier, Palm, Hinman, and Ptaux the Diamond Men are expected to pull through fine defending the City Championship and the Ark Valley Championship. This year's baseball program also includes an intra- mural program which will take care of over 100 boys. Track The Cindermen under Fritz Snodgrass have turned in grand perform- ances through the past years rolling up 18 con- secutive victories previous to this season's fine rec- ords. This year the Track- men started out a grand season by defeating North 108 to 49 points. Returning Lettermen are: Mayo, Jernigan, Pool, Keif, Pe- ters, Johnson, Armstrong, Cummings, Shogren, Gale, Aldrich, Bob Johnson and Parks.
