The Sophomore A Sz B Football Squads turned in a record this year which makes it look like East will have Championship teams for the next few years. The A Squad turned in a perfect season winning all of their games. The B Squad had more trouble going against rough competition. They lost the only 2 games they played.

Top ROW-PARKS, HOFFMAN, CORN, MOORE, GREEN, SHEETS, NEWCOME, FARHA, Fox, NELSON, EVERHART, LYTLE, LEANORD, CROSBY. Football This year the Ace's Gridmen went through a fine season losing only 1 tilt. Wellington succeeded in breaking up the East winning streak of 13 straight wins by giving us a 7 to 14 defeat on their own field. Topeka scored the other victory with a narrow 7 to 6 win. This how- ever didn't stop the pigskin men from giving the North High Team their almost Annual defeat. This has been our Sixth straight year to have the DeMolay Trophy in our showcase. By defeating the Red- skins the Aces clinched the Ark Valley for the second straight year. Russ Shogren, veteran center and this year's captain, copped top honors on the Ark Valley and State Teams and then was placed on the second All American Team of the country. Other All Staters and All Ark Valley men were Pechin, Jernigan, and Sheets.

Basketball The basketball squad this year faced a tough schedule, but under the coaching of Emmett Breen, and Ralph Miller, they were able to chalk up a tie with North for the City Championship, third place in the Dodge City Tournament, and, Won the Regional Meet at Inde- pendence. With only three of the first team seniors and a fine second team the cage men are expected to take top honors next year. Binford was our contribution to the first All Ark Valley Team this year.
