Health IS lleeessary In the Modern World MEMORIAL HEALTH CENTER This health center, completed early in 1948, is dedicated to the several thousand former students of Wichita High School East who served in World War II The time, the place, the kind of service va- ried but each did his part with much, with little, or with no acclaim-in hope of building a better World. Theicenter contains rooms for routine group examinations, treatment rooms and emer- gency illness as Well as the de- lightful reception room that houses the memorial book in which are listed the nearly four thousand names of for- mer students who are honored here. Miss Ozeta Hutchison flower leftj was chairman of the Men in Service committee. Miss Luada Severance Ccen- terj had charge of plans for the dedication service and Miss Ruth Heil flower rightj supervised the checking of names and plans for furnish- ing the center. This center Was made possible by Work of many teachers, the Parent- Teacher Association, and the gifts of money from parents and friends. The Board of Education financed all build- ing construction.
