FOWLER Superintendent of Xvichilu Svlwols DR. PAUL VV. HARNLY Direrlor of Secondary Education CONGRATULATIONS, GRADUATES! You have successfully achieved a signiticant miie- stone in your educational journey. For the most part you have been laying the foundation upon which Iife's success depends. it is my hope that you have built this foundation thoughtfully and securely. It has been an exciting journey, each day bringing new friends, new experi- ences, new ideas gained, more knowledge stored. ' The real structure is just beginning to take shape and will not be completed until your service on earth and to mankind is concluded. is it not necessary, then. that you select and place each stone carefully to the end that what you build shall represent your best? How high and how impressively you build depends entirely upon you, I trust each one of you appreciates that as an individual you are important, that you count for something, and that your successes depend entirely upon what you do yourself rather than upon heritage and tradition. A man is known for what he does more than for who he is. Your friends and mine have engaged in a terrific struggle and emerged vic- torious so that this privilege may continue. Donyt let them down. Do your part to iceep building a world of which you may be proud and in which every individual may achieve his own heights. Qur very best wishes will be with you always. Sincerely, XVALTER L.
