DEDICA TIO OUR FRIE D: COACH BUCK HARRI Mr. Virland Harris, better known as COACH BUCK Harris, has been teaching at East for thirty years, This means he has been here for about half his life! We are richer for his choosing to stay with us. Coach Harris attended High School in Harvey, Illinois. After he graduated he attended Missouri Valley College and Loyola University. He began his teaching career in l950 as a Biology teacher. But because of his outstanding coaching abilities and the need for Math instructors he has never taught Biology. He excelled especially in coaching football and brought three championship seasons to East in l954, l955, and l97 7. His life record is 4 7-32- 7. Over the years he has hehwed at least thirty students go to college and use their athletic abilities. Mr. Harris is a Mason, a Shriner and a professional Polish Person. He enjoys, farming, hunting, footbaIL and kids. Thank you, Coach Harris for your leadership, concern, and councel. We gratefully dedicate the i982 EASTONIAN to You. X-
