East's counselors are always willing to listen to a student’s problems. Each year a counselor is assigned to the eighth grade class and follows that class through until graduation. Helping to adjust to high school and in the planning of careers after graduation is a major job for the counselors. Better parent, faculty, and student relationships arc achieved through their combined efforts. While maintaining pride and dignity, the administration manages the school with kill and precision. This year. East saw a new face in her administration, Mr. Stroud as assistant principal. Aiding Mr. Dickson in the paper work involved in the duties of administration i a major job for Mr. Stroud. Vice-principals, Mr. Markov and Mr. Ridley, help in handling problems of discipline and in promoting a good student-faculty relationship.
