WILLIAM H DAVENPORT PRINCIPAL The past school year has been one of many changes The loss of Mr Rundell leaves a lonesome place in the hearts of pupils and teachers at East High School Mr Muller has gone to Bennett our great loss their gain Several of our well beloved teachers have retired We wish them much happiness in their years of rest Many new faces have been added to our faculty The pupils of East have been very fortunate in acquiring efficient and sympathetic replacements in an age when good teachers are at a premium l am sure the faculty and student body welcome them and feel confident that they will uphold the fine traditions and high standards of East High School To the pupils my message is this Our country today needs well educated men and women Don t follow the line of least resistance Prepare vourselves by serious study and hard work to take your place in the complex world of tomorrow J!
