MGRAVE AND REVEREND SENIORS ARE MODEL FOR ALL OTHER CLASSES The seniors haven't had much chance to be dignified this year because of the delayed opening of schools. They've been rushed with the rest of the student body, sandwiching activities between classes and homework. A little later than usual. the class elected these oflicers: Francis P. Rozek, presi- dentg Carol Creasey, vice-president: Joseph Slisz, treasurerg ,lean Fetzer, secretary, Jeanette Petschke, girls' marshalg Walter Southall, boys' marshalg Carol Meyers, hisjtorian and Marven Smith. prophet. ln October the girls had a Hallowe'en Party complete with cats, costumes and cider. The most baffling disguise was that of Miss Lancaster -an extremely convincing Raggedy Ann. A post season basketball game between the Varsity '45 and Varsity '46 was sponsored by the seniors. The '46 Varsity won the exciting game with a score of 45 - 27: next season's team shows great promise. There was dancing afterward to the rhythm of the East High Swing Band. The boys acted as ushers at both the concert and the play, providing a friendly welcome and a needed assistance in locating seats. On .lune l. the social event of the year will be held -The Prom. lt is our earnest hope that the draft hoard will he lenient with the male members of the class until after that date. As they walk down the aisle at graduation, the senior class can look back on one of the shortest and busiest years in the history of East. Winners ol the Amerikanism Essay Contest: Mildred I6 Crochowihk and Richard Borowiec. THE C ASS 0F 945
