COMMUNITY... the environment of everyday, practical life. It was where we formed our basic values, and it now accepts us as a vital part. London Road was the center of our fun. Students spent much of their time working at everything from pumping gas to tutoring. They contributed their efforts to service projects at old folks' homes, hospitals, and the Central Hillside. Student Life ... an environment of experiences common to most students. It was figuring out computer schedules and report cards, no dress code, trying to get something from the vending machine, pie-throwing at the carnival, posters for everything, group one and two assemblies, competing between classes during Red and Grey, talent at East Side Swing, a bargain at the art auction, a passion flower on flower day, excitement of prom, the muddy, bumpy parking lot, and waiting for vacations. From orientation to commencement there was a variety of situations making the year special and different.
