uThe East High School Band under the direction of Mr. Robert Vickers now presents . . . H is an announcement heard many times a year at the foot- ball stadium, basketball games, Scottish Rite, Music Festival, and band concerts. Last fall the Senior band had the pleasure of meet- ing Vice-President Nixon while he was campaigning in the city. They Won new acclaim by being voted uDuluth's Most Popular Band in a contest sponsored by the Plaza Shopping Center. Zmwf' To raise money for a trip in the spring, the band sponsored it's annual tournament-time pot luck supper. Mr. Vickers introduced a new school song, called the East Swing Songi' to the delight of the student body.
