ENSEMBLE CLUB The Ensemble Club of East has achieved city-wide fame this year through thirty-two outstanding entertain- ment performances for leading civic organizations. These included performances for the Community Fund Drive, church suppers, school assemblies, plays and programs, as well as the school operetta and the May Music Festival, where the Ensemble excelled in competition. At these performances, the string group presented light classical and musical comedy selections, many of which are favorites with music lovers. Under the splendid guidance of Mr. Clifford Berg, orchestra director, this string ensemble has progressed rapidly, receiving recognition for advanced musical ability and artistic performance as an entertainment group. Although only seven years old, the number of requests for the Ensemble Club's musical presentations gives evi- dence of its popularity. There are twenty-one members in the group this year, all of them being selected from the string section of the orchestra. The president is Margery Kimball, and the secretary-treasurer, Leilla Lonn. Ensemble: President, Mariorie Kimball, Secretary-Treasurer, Leilla Lonn, Advisor, Mr. Berge. I7
