I'm OKYou're OX. I do my thing, and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations. And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, And if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful. Frederick S. Peris During the first parts of our lives we were molded by our parents and teachers into what they wanted us to be. By the time we reached high school, we were finally allowed to make our own decisions. It was then that we began to realize what it was that we really enjoyed. There were others in school who shared our interests, and we spent alot of time with these people. Everyone saw us with these friends, and we were soon classified into groups. Some of us became known as athletes or musicians. Others were classified by our special interests in cars, or out of school activities like rollerskating, dancing or concerts. These social groupings sometimes made it hard to get to know others besides those in our close circle of friends, but things changed with time. After four years together we left as one large group. One of the many and most important things we learned in school was that no matter how different we may have seemed on the outside, basically we were all similar and we could enjoy being with each other.

Fifteen Minute Break Coffee break, lunch break. All over the country Americans are taking breaks. During our junior year breaks worked their way into our daily school routine. The bell that sounded the end of third period was like a gift from heaven above. We all depended on the quickly passing fifteen minutes to pull us through the rest of the day. The break quickly turned into a social event. Groups of friends would gather around lockers to discuss the day's latest gossip. Others would go outside and enjoy a cigarette. Some of us used this time to ease our hunger pains. And what better way than with the school's most abundant resource-CANDV! The halls were lined with dedicated club members anxious to be done with their share of the fundraising effort. Quite a few romances were born during the break. Many a Friday night date depended on what was or wasn't said during those few crucial minutes. It turned out that the time between third and fourth periods became an important part of our school day. In allowing us this fifteen minute time lapse, the administrators did indeed “give us a break.
