Dying, Horace Greeley exclaimed: Fame is a vapor, popularity an acci- dent, riches take wings, those who cheer today will curse tomorrow, only one thing enduresgcharcxcterlw How true those words arel No matter how appealing it is to yield to the easy way, to do what seems the popular thing, each ot us has a still small voice of conscience which we can never escape. You young people leaving school will be tempted in a dozen alluring ways daily. You will hear that the end justifies the means. You will see cheats and gratters who seem to flourish. The temptation will be great to cut corners, to trample on the rights ot others, to look out for the main chance. But no immediate popularity, no apparent victory can still that quiet inner voice that knows just how you played the game.
