Under Miss jacob- son's leadership the girls enjoy everything from square danc- ing to basketball. 48 Coach Bear has a fertile field in this group for future varsity stars. Under Miss Bell's supervision these pupils received valuable experience in finding out what makes a good library. Small in number but enthus iastic in its activities is a gooc description of the Senior Higl Nature Club. Drama, a major activity in Hellenic times, has, since the founding of E.H.H.S. been an outs ta nd i ng extra-curricular program in our school. Under Mr. Ferrigno's skillful direc- tion many class celebrities, not- ably Mary Carrier, Donald Prout, and joan Cobley, have soared to stardom. Increasing in membership from the small groups of pre- vious years, to the present thir- ty-Eve members, the journal- ism Club, during the past year reached the peak of its enroll- ment. The major activities of the club are two-fold: publishing the school literary quarterly, Bellringer, under the leader- ship of Helene Caliendo, '48, and editing the School News Page which appears weekly in the local newspaper and is prepared by a competent staff directed by Editor Jeannette Hubbard, '48. 49
