To our esteemed Alma Mater in which four of the most happy years of our lives have been passed, we, the members of the Class of Nineteen Hun- dred and Forty-Eight, bid fare- well. if psf Wane at ,tmhfvw gi? However, this characteristic changes into noisy enthusiasm either in an argument or at a basketball game. This is the tale I pray the divine Muse to unfold to us Begin it goddess at whatever point you will All the survivors of the war had reached their homes by now and so put the perils of battle and sea behind them And so it was that the Class of 1948 began its Odyssey We the Class of 48 set forth on our initial year of travel experiencing our first hard ship IHIIIHIIOD The future looked brighter when we were entertained with a tea and dance by the Senior gods and goddesses Our navigators were the advisers Miss V Higgins and Miss Ann Ucello The crew mates were President Kenneth Anderson Vice President Roland Saucier Secretary Harvey Robmson and Treasurer Richard Wall Our debut was made at the Freshman Lawn Party at which all bluebloods were present As an aid to the land lovers the Seniors we participated in the grand premiere of the Magazine Campalgn The second year of our journey was in full swing under the leadership of Mrs Anton Remy and Mr. john English with President Rita Ostergren' Vice-President Alyce Smith' Secretary, Claude Priceg and Treasurer, Richard Wall. We sailed along through the year with Penny Dancing and the annual Sophomore Hop, in honor of Cupid. Closer to Ithaca, our destiny, we reached the calm before the storm, our junior year. Winter was upon us, and we celebrated the Prom with Winter Wonderland. Laughter- loving Aphrodite, goddess of love, made her presence known among us at the Sadie Hawkin's Dance. Our thespians personified comedy and tragedy in I Remember Mama. The year's voyage was directed by Mr. john Callahan and Mrs. Mary Dwyer, President, Richard Wallg 28
