Let us pledge ourselves to remember their sacrifice. Let us help to lessen the grief which their families feel by carrying forward the work of peace, both now and after this war is ended. Let us jealously guard the liberties which they have died to defend, Let us, in a spirit of tolerance and unselfishness, champion a new and better world community in which war shall be abjured and peace cherished, and in which all men shall have a better opportunity for personal freedom and self-respect.
