FHA Members Improve Homemaking Skills Through Practice The Future Homemak- ers of America sold cook- books this year to add equipment to the depart- ment. They attended the county Future Home- makers of America Profi- ciency Events and the Re- gional Conference at Win- gate. FTA White Christmas Program Collects 1,000 Cans of Food for CRO The Future Teach- ers of America spon- sored the White Christmas program this year. The club raised 1,000 cans of food for CRO. VICA Has Car Wash to Help Needy Families The VICA Club is a club which con- tributes to others. For example, the members have had many car washes to raise money for needy families. The drafting, car- pentry and auto mechanics classes are sending several people to VICA Club contests. The club has previously had students from carpentry and auto mechanics classes to compete in state and national com- petition. First row: Tim Eldridge, advisor, Mary Vinn, reporter. The main purpose of the East Gaston chapter of IMC is to provide the students with the latest method of leader- ship development and man- agement training. This is done by having top speakers, problem solving exercises, and the exchange of ideas. The club is affiliated with the Gaston chapter of IMC and helps with the YMCA through volunteer work and fund raising. East Gaston hap- pens to be the first high school ever to start a chapter, and hopes are high that it will be very successful.

Warrior Wheels Transport Students to East Gaston Warrior Wheels con- sists of all licensed bus drivers at East Gaston. Eight busses transport approximately 300 East Gaston students each school day. Photography Club Members Work For Professional Pictures o Photography Club members bring pictures and cameras to be criti- qued. At one meeting 3-D pictures were viewed by all the club members.
