The East Gaston Student Council is made up of twenty-five Stu- dents and two advisors. Together we work for improvement of our school. We select the Warriors of the month, design signs to support our athletics, keep the activity board up to date, have a Junior Olympics, a follies show, a Mr. Sweetheart contest, and this year we had our first Principal Appreciation Day. Throughout the year, we keep a scrap- book of all East Gaston's activities. To me, Student Council means helping others, determination, and above all - patience. ln my three years on the council, l have learned many things that have definitely made a difference in my life. l would like to thank all of the representatives and officers for putting up with me and a special thanks to Mr. Carpenter and Mrs. Rhyne for all of their support and dedication. Finally, l want to thank the entire admin- istration for their co-operation and helping hands - and most of all you - the East Gaston Warriors for making this school what it is. You're the greatest! l hope that the student body has truly benefited from the council's efforts this year.
