This year TAPS has been very ac- tive. All of the funds raised by the club have gone to the March of Dimes. By selling candy and having a Christmas Door Decorating Contest, the group raised over 3438.00 for the March of Dimes. This year club members partici- pated in the March of Dimes Walk-a- thon. In October the club entered the Textile Contest and won second place. Members sponsored exhibits in the libraries of Mount Holly and Stanley in November for the Nation- al Education Week. The annual art exhibit at East Gaston was held in December. The club displayed their work at the Gaston County Annual Junior-Senior High Exhibit in Dallas. In April the seniors exhibited at Gas- ton College. The club participated in fund raising by selling candy for art scholarships and supplies. Also, members took a few field trips this year. OA The Vis-Tac Club sponsored the Homecoming Dummy Contest. Members helped Art Society in fund raising. The Club also sponsored a faculty-student basketball game. Art SocietyfVis-Tacf89

The group provides safe and punctual transportation for the students of the greater East Gaston community. ln ad- dition to the actual driving, the drivers per' form numerous chores, They must keep the buses clean, maintain order while students are aboard, check periodically for safety de- fects, and maintain accurate records of their driving distances.
