The Christian Life Club is a group of believers who want to spread a Christian atmosphere at East Gaston. The club sponsors devotions on Tuesdays and Fri- days at 8:00 a.m. in the audito- rium. Some of their activities in- clude carolling at Brian Center and co-sponsoring an evening in which John Boy of WBCY and Mark Garrison of WBTV gave personal testimonies. The Future Teachers O merica S onsor Box Decorating Contest The Future Teachers of America is made up 13 of students interested in the field of education. ln the past, the club sponsored a breakfast for the teachers and supervised the White Christ- mas program. The members also had a box decorating contest during the week of Christ- mas. In October the club entered the Textile Contest and won second place. Members sponsored exhibits in the libraries of Mount Holly and Stanley in November for the Nation- al Education Week. The annual art exhibit at East Gaston was held in December. The club displayed their work at the Gaston County Annual Junior-Senior High Exhibit in Dallas. In April the seniors exhibited at Gas- ton College. The club participated in fund raising by selling candy for art scholarships and supplies. Also, members took a few field trips this year. OA The Vis-Tac Club sponsored the Homecoming Dummy Contest. Members helped Art Society in fund raising. The Club also sponsored a faculty-student basketball game. Art SocietyfVis-Tacf89
