Citizenship Winner On the basis of dependability, service, leader- ship, and patriotism, the faculty and the senior class chose Frances Farris to receive the D.A.R. Citizenship Award. Frances submitted a scrap- book of her activities during her four years in high school to the D.A.R. State Association. At the North Carolina State D.A.R. Conven- tion, she was honor guest of the Major Williani Chronicle Chapter of Gastonia. O Miss Hi Miss On the basis of scholarship, leadership, char- acter, and personal attractiveness, the faculty and the senior class chose Barbara Hollar Miss Hi Miss of Mount Ilolly High to participate in the fourteenth annual Miss lli Miss events at VVinthrop College. As the outstanding girl of 1951 her picture and honors were published in the 'lohnsonian, student newspaper of Win- throp, the South Carolina College for VVomen, and three other leading newspapers.
