Bt reeccer non Dainty Dauntless Determined Girls’ basketball is a primary G.A.A. sport in the winter months. The girls practice long hours at improving their shooting ability, speed and agility. Their perserverance paid off as they emerged victorious in most of their games. Returning players, Cheryl Masten, Linda Coble, Geraldine Wood, Debbie Wishon, Diane Eaton, Mona Sapp, Becky Bell, and Cindy Jones, improved themselves and encouraged the new girls to work towards learning the skills also. Girls’ basketball is an exciting sport and worthy of praise for the victories they clinch for East. Eat your heart out, Larry Miller... MARCHING BAND “So Fine” Soul Sounds! Ask anyone what group really makes present the fine performances they a halftime show in football give during football halftime. To season, or adds that real zest to continually keep in precision step a pep rally, and they will and perfect timing is a difficult probably answer that it is the job, as any band member can assure band. East’s marching band puts in you, but the Marching Eagles do so alot of practice and time to with skill and grace. However, it is evident that they enjoy them- selves as they play favorite East High melodies and keep cold spirits in cotton candy moods.
