Soph WEST East slowed down the pace in their game with West Forsyth. The lead changed hands several times, but the solid, well or- ganized Eagles pulled out the victory, 68-64. PARKLAND Although East Forsyth led through most of the first half, Parkland pulled out a squeaker with the final score standing 57-55. Roberson, Chambers, and Neal all totaled in double figures. omores, Juniors, Seniors, NORTH Eager to get revenge on the Vikings who handed East a loss in football, the basketball team played a tough game in beating North 49-46 at Memorial Coliseum. This win was well dem- onstrated by the team and Coach Blaylock who took home a new red vest which he won from Coach Cartwright of North. Swinging Eaglettes entertain with modern jazz at half time. Coach Blaylock gives the boys a last word of encouragement before they put into action what has been drilled over and over again in daily practice. SAll the way in 4-A”’

Junior Varsity Basketball In Junior Varsity Basketball this year we have had three big problems. These are: lack of height, lack of quickness, and lack of playing experience. Randy Beeson has an average of twenty points a game, and Kenny Rothrock’s average is ten points a game. Bobby Atrington, Raymond Hester, Smokey Blevins, and Mike Flynn have some good moments and should develop into better players with experience. Go! Randy, Go! The mighty Eagles never give up.
