Sportsmanship Stem from Athletics Football accents the first of the school year with exciting play-making and the beginning of the will to be “tops” in the 4-A Conference. The marching band, majorettes, and cheerleaders boost enthusiasm as “Dixie” rings out over the stands. The action reaches a beautiful climax with Homecoming and the presentation of the queen. A small lull follows as the basketball season approaches. Then, the Mighty Eagles are at it again, dribbling, scoring, fight- ing to win. “All the way in 4-A” is the cry yelled 10 times louder than ever before as the Eagles roll over the tough- est teams in the conference. The spring follows closely, bringing with it baseball and track. Throughout the year, though, win or lose, the Eagles never cease to be proud of their school and live day by day the ideal of sportsmanship. Bae gf! ey TMT i ‘i MM et a” 137
