That's right they were on their way to kindergarten. That group of kids was the class of 1984. We were all excited about going to school. We didn't know it then, but we were headed for many years of fun. . We all tried to make friends with each other, but sometimes it didn't work. We had our usual fun and games, hut best of all was show and tell. The year went by and we found ourselves in first grade} we had two new additions to our class by the names of Lisa Pedder and Laura Lander. This year was a year of trying to get everything straight. Some of us had trouble with which restroom to use. As all first graders, we had our loves and our break ups. Second grade came fast also and our class was split into two sections. All the girls were in love with Eddie Simon, but he broke our hearts and moved away. We experienced many different things in this grade. Our class was reunited once again in third grade. We had two new additions to our class, Maureen Nunlist and Amanda Spicer. We all had fun this year going outside to the playground! Fourth grade was quite different. This year we had to change classes. Everyone grew up quite a bit. We must have been popular because three more people came, John Sullivan, Chip Linn, and Tracey Andrews. Weren't they the lucky ones? Fifth grade was the year of Big Bertha. One or two even had the privilege of meeting her. Not too many people wanted to, though. Tracey Andrews was given the name of Girt. Todd Nicklas and Steph Gilbert could not resist, so they joined us this year. We took a field trip to Salmon Creek to go swim ming. Sixth grade was the best of our elementary years. We were finally the bosses. Our class trip was to Sea World. We all had a terrific time. Cindy had a close-up with the water and we played games on the bus. Clay Cochran and Tammy Zazado joined us. 3n Seventh grade was a big change for us. We went from the mighty 6th grader to the lowly 7th graders. We had our times dodging those huge seniors. Our classes all changed and became harder. Brenda H. and Cindy M. recieved new nicknames and Lissy and Patsy had fun in gym class. Eighth grade was an exciting year. We went on a field trip to Jake's Rocks. About one half of the class somehow got lost. We all had made plans to go back there for a class reunion. Our two new additions were Trade Uzelac and John Spates. Our boys proved their strength in gym class. They were able to wrestle Mr. Thornton to the ground. In ninth grade we went a little wild. We tried to make the teachers go insane. Our cute idea was to turn their rooms backwards. This year was the year we went to History Day. Our school took all three places in the events. Laura Lander and Brenda Hetrick went to Grantville to represent our class in History Day finals. Dead snakes became a part of our class one day. Gary Schrecengost and Barb Tom joined us. Leroy Walters was here but he didn't stay too long and Mike Johnson also left us. Tenth grade was famous for our biology dass. Everytime we would watch the movie projector, Frank would unplug it. Dona Yeaney moved here and told us of many stories about herself. Our English dass were always gossip sessions about Dona. Eleventh grade was the year of Chemistry dass. None of us will ever forget our teacher, Mr. Vaverick. (He won't forget us either!!) There were three of us that dedded to negotiate'' all year. This was also the year of fights. This girls showed that they had strength. This also became the year of locker wars. Certain people found everything from frog eggs to dog food in their lockers. Lisa and Kelly Welshans moved here. Twelfth grade—we're finally the big Seniors. This year is the greatest year of all. We have had many exdting things happen this year. We hdd a Junior-Senior Football game, which was quite an experience. Two new additions were Holly Stites and Tom Tarr. Three of our dassmates were engaged. Barb T. to Claytie C„ Tammy R. to Lenny T„ and Lisa W. to Greg. We are all very happy for them. This year is a time of happiness and sadness. Our Washington Trip will be an exdting experience for all of us. This school year has definetdy been fun. We've enjoyed our P.O.D. class and Advanced Math dass. We've shared many joys, upsets, and heart- aches. We are now realizing that our lives will be changing severely. We will no longer have the security of school or the chance to be with one another everyday. We will miss these years and will treasure the memories forever. We’ve gone through 13 years of school and are ready, but scared to begin our lives. We wish the best to the rest of you. We hope that you have as much fun your Senior year as we have had. Enjoy it, you'll miss it. 31 33 David Clow Dennis Crawford Mikki Foulkrod 34 Mike Mike Goodman Gore Jens Kildsgaard Mark Guzik Chris Lastowski Barbara Lamison Steve Miller Donna McCanna Renee Nicklas Mary Johnson Lori Luden Julie Paine 35 Sally Thacher Tammy Robinson Mandy Rodgers Todd Plotts Amy Schrecengost Brad Seybert Buster Snyder bob Tarr Bryan Seybert Brenda Thacher Donna Pisor 3 E John Zimmerman Erik Wilson Johanna Kuhl John Lastowski I Tim Kimmel 37 Mitzi Maschensic Daren Millward Suzanne Pulit Brad Long Regis Luden Rhonda Sharrow Wendy Robinson Beverly Jackie Spates Sullivan ■ Tim Russell 33 Andy Tom Debbie Bradybaugh Donna Crawford John Katy Baughman Baxter Bill Clow Randy Claypoole Missy Fyock Kelly Gr uey Tammy Cussins Eric Skibinski Rich Clever 39 Eric Long Alan Ruhlman Tye Gu ianen John Melissa Saxon Scott Rob Pierce Amy Saxon Me1i ssa Kuhl Paula Lamison Kim Harp 43 Clymer Robb Cochran Melissa Hollis Ty Huth Tina Tammy Millward Montague Doug Corbin Amy Kuhl Wally Naletko 42 Debbie Harp Susie Lamison Frank Petrilla 43 Butch Marshall Betty McCanna Mia Harp Iwi Jm Rick Harp Skye Doyan Sheila N o g e 1 Kim Clow Park Crispin Anita Dempsy Wendi Mi Her Kandi Ladina Missy Henke 44 45 Jennifer Tobolski I Steve Williams Cherie Turner India Washington Stacy Wilson Hepler €TC. 4fi Charlie Sharrow Vicki Westerman mhm 9 Donna Crawford- Secretary Katy Baxter- Treasurer Becky Snyder- Vice Prez. Well, all that you have to do is look around and see what a good job that Mr. Cochran is doing. He spends many hours making sure that the school is taken care of and that everything is in work- ing order. We should all appreciate the hard work that he does and show our thanks by not making his job any harder than what it is. We all know that the work here at the school is too much for one person to handle. Dave has had to contend with many problems but has always come through in the end. Let's make Dave's future years with us better and show our appre- ciation for what he does. 2J34B aa'uc 2222 2 I ul-'-i 327! : ZB 2' ♦M23 55 ®?£A 5 fi Mr. Thornton Mr. Deffenbaugh Mrs. Byers Mr. Wolbert Miss Siviy Mrs . The Forum consists of students from every school in the district. The students meet together to dis- cuss ways of improving the school system. This Forum helps schools become aware of others and the needs of the students. We encourage the students to become involved .with other schools in the district and help each other towards a brighter future in friend- ship. 77 1 CHRIS LASTOWSKI, SALLY THACHER, BRAD SEYBERT, LISSY RODGERS, TRACEY ANDREWS, LORIE COOK, JOE McKITTRICK, MRS. This year's prom was held in the new East Forest Gym. There was a mystical air about the gym as brightly colored streamers decorated the ceiling with four large fans suspended from the middle. The crowning area consisted of a back- ground of two unicorns joined together by a star. The picture area consisted of a backdrop of multi-colored rainbow streamers. Music was provided by the group Kaos . The class of 1984 would like to thank all who helped make this night a very special one for all.
