THE MARIEN One of the saddest things about high school is being a senior. Somewhere around the middle of that last year you start realizing that all the love and friendship of the past twelve years is coming to an end. There will be no more meaningful proms, no more high school basketball games, and no more crazy band trips. Friends will go opposite ways, hoping that they will meet again soon. The staff of the 1977-1978 MARIEN hope that we have captured some of the moments and memories of the entire year. Yes, it's true that we may never pass this way again, so cherish this yearbook as if it were your entire year at East Forest High School. We, the Class of 1978, would like to extend our gratitude and affection to a familiar face at East Forest. He has been with us for many years, working in close association with the students from elementary to high school. We have all come to know him by his warm smiles, and his good-natured disposition. He has sacrificed much time carrying out programs of entertainment and teaching. Mr. Huffman has earned our respect and admiration, and through his dedication to teaching, has caused us to appreciate our abilities, achievements, and ful- fillments. His absence here at East Forest will be very much noticed. He will leave behind an influence that is not likely to be equalled. We wish to sav thanks to you, Mr. Standish Huffman.
